Mumblings from an Old Fart

Richard Mahony is a musing addict and internationally recognized Old Fart.Following a confused and incomplete education at numerous schools at various locations in London, Southern, and Southwestern England, he indulged in a variety of career activities, successfully managing to avoid anything remotely resembling success or long-term stability. He currently holds an accidental Ph.D in Lymingology--a widely practiced Jamaican activity of doing absolutely nothing, at every opportunity, for as long as possible.Serving with distinction in the Royal Air Force, his career peaked when declared persona non-grata and he was subsequently deported from the Isle of Anglesey in 1963, following threats by misguided, humour-challenged Neanderthal hooligan elements of the Welsh Nationlist Party.Private sector/industrial achievement culminated in what was primarily intended as a joke being taken seriously, resulting in a total three-day shutdown of the North Sea gas fields in 1975.Now a confirmed geriatric, he remains staunchly unrepentant, gleefully exercising his penchant to wander around with his fly unzipped since his eightieth birthday.Sadly, no one notices--or worse, even cares!
