Three sixth grade girls have dreamed of adventure for all of their lives. At last, their ambition leads them into a parallel universe after finding a magical stone near their parents' archaeological site. They and their families' key goal is to find their way back home, but they encounter many more adventures and mysteries than they had intended. Along the way they find that the gem they had found was only the first of four, belonging to the same geological family.
