Station Master

Ann Hennessey gets more than she bargained for when she agrees to lead the economic revitalization of TopFloor Station. TopFloor is the oldest of the six stations in geosynchronous orbit, and the terminus of the space elevator is showing its age. Ann is supposed to fill its empty decks with tourist attractions and shops, but she finds them dark, hot and smelly because of antiquated power and life support systems. Her attempts to improve conditions go nowhere when Orbital Transport Inc., which manages all of TopFloor's shipping facilities, won't cooperate. Ann's fiscal crisis soon becomes the least of her worries. Her chronically overworked crewmembers start getting sick, but their illnesses can't all be blamed on fatigue and their horrible working conditions. The discovery of a unique strain of toxic mold in an upscale hotel quickly turns into a biohazard emergency. Ann's leadership and courage are pushed to their limits as she and her crew try to prevent their home on TopFloor from becoming their final resting place.
