The Beginning of the Prophecy of the New Age

Allanna, Princess of Santra, has always been different. Her refusal to let anything bind itself to her separates her from the rest of court. She has made five friends, who support her ideals and participate in horseback riding and swordscraft with her: Tempar, Ratisha, Megan, Sasha, and Amelia. Foremost in her refusals is marriage, and when Tempar proposes to her, Allanna panics. Along with Megan, Sasha, and Amelia, Allanna flees north. But Tempar will stop at nothing to get her back, and Allanna soon learns that she must take back her throne, before he destroys the whole of Fal’Tarra.
