Theartofman.net becomes a reality! This quarterly seeks to bring balance to a genre of art that overwhelmingly favors the female figure. We feature artists that are courageous enough to focus on the male figure as a significant portion of their portfolio. We bring you in-depth interviews into their thought processes, choices, struggles and creativity in a way no book on the subject can; a buffet for the connoisseur of figurative art. This journal includes interviews with 5 artists, a gallery interview, historical reference on the male figure in fine art, information on other publications focusing on the male figure, and a directory of over 100 artists and their websites. In this issue we spotlight the artists E. Gibbons, Richard Stabbert, Ron Griswold, Carolyn Weltman, Sabin Howard. Our gallery interview is with Lyman-Eyer Gallery of Provincetown, MA.
