Beware the Bright Moon

Off the coast of Africa the Evening Star sinks with eight hundred people aboard. Not long after, the USS Washington, a state of the art American military vessel collides with a freighter and sinks off the coast of Florida. Two unrelated incidents? Two reporters, Leila and Timothy Brandt, who have been investigating the Bright Moon, a terrorist ship that has been harassing shipping on the high seas don't think so. The Pentagon has informed them that the “terrorist” ship is a freighter. But their own sources tell them that the ship has the speed and maneuverability of a naval frigate, and that its captain claims that not only are he and his crew survivors from the Evening Star, but that his ship is really the USS Washington. Who is lying? With someone after Tim and Leila and a US Navy submarine tracking the Bright Moon with a sink on sight order, there isn't much time left to find out.
