Shadow Wind

The Outer World is a desolate place with one side locked in ice and the other scorched by 6000 years of harsh daylight. Long ages ago, Tol lo can’s fathers ruled this hostile world, but forgot their creator. Five hundred years ago, the Adreans came from the Inner World. They were not noble warriors as Tol lo can’s fathers had been; instead they were hopeless bureaucrats. Yet they conquered the Thi Con Empire and set up their own puppet government. Twenty-five years ago, they burned Tol lo can’s village and killed his wife and son. Since then, he has lived a fugitive in the very shadow of his fathers’ ancient enemies. With false papers, he lives and works among them, but he is not one of them. If he is careful, he could live to grow old. Out numbered 100 million to one, what other choice does he have? But now the Adreans have come again; not as conquers, but as scientists searching for the remnants of the Thi Con Race. Among them is Jerrica Sciacca, an Adrean archeologist who is long on insight but short on judgment and asks far too many questions. Will she reveal Tol lo can to his enemies or show him the secret his fathers have so carefully hidden. Either way, Tol lo can must now choose to spend the rest of his life in hiding or live as the last Thi Con warrior.
