WWW Publishing I: Lecture Transcripts: The Lectures Verbatim

This document contains transcripts of my lectures and the accompanying PowerPoint presentations for the course CIS 234A WWW Publishing I at the College of Alameda in Alameda, California. They are designed as a resource for students who take the class online. They are word-for-word transcripts of the lectures as recorded for the use of students taking the course. We cover two subject areas: Web Design—the theory and aesthics of designing your website; and HTML—the programming language used to actually create webpages. Each section is color-coded to match the topics (green or purple) and the chapter covered is noted at the top of the section for each section. Here is the catalog description of the course: This course is designed to help you gain skills in creating/publishing web pages using basic hypertext markup language (HTML) — hyper links, fonts, colors, backgrounds, tables. Students enrolled in the course can access electronic versions of the files on the Peralta Community College District Course Management System.
