The Seasoned Stylist

I've now finished The Seasoned Stylist. I'm impressed! The structure, the style, the voice-all are extremely successful, & that's no small achievement. You really are an excellent writer.



I took notes as I read so I could share some things I found particularly effective:

- Excellent use of language and themes. Also, successful not only in examining an industry (& a specific life) during a period of time but also in using that industry as a means to examine the larger culture.

- Good choice of specific stories to illustrate both the author's individual story/career and teach others based on his example.

- I particularly liked the Steinbeck quote about the hairdresser as the center of the community!

- Great title.

- I found your grammatical& stylistic choices for the most part to be not only correct but tasteful. I think this will stand out among self-published work. Anyway, congratulations. This is something to be proud of. :)
