Supremacy and Ardor

Orphaned in 1797 after the killing of her parents, one week-old Adelina is thrust into the care of a malicious guardian. Forced to labor tirelessly in this home, the girl can only find solace in the care of a governess who teaches her things that are forbidden for a girl of the scullery. One night, Adelina's world is shattered, and escaping becomes her only reality. Fleeing in the middle of the night with sparse possessions on a stubborn horse, Adelina doesn't get far before she is captured by the forces of the ninth duke of Arldonia. She endures brutal interrogations as the men try to determine her purpose in their fortress, and ensure the Duke's safety as heir to the throne of Harplen. Shipped to a foreign land at the mercy of these irrational soldiers, Adelina tries to overcome accusations of thievery and treason, and adjust to this strange world she has been thrust into.
