Rough Diamonds

This is a novel about an amazing journey from Durban in South Africa to a remote location in Northern Mozambique during the violent and brutal civil war of the 80's. It's 1989 and David Parker, a struggling musician, returns from exile in Holland to South Africa to attend his older brother's funeral. The family attorney, Gary Levin, summons David to his office. His brother has written David a letter - there is a fortune in uncut diamonds buried on the Mozambique coast. And there is a map. Levin wants in. He has a yacht and crew and will help for a share of the stones.David and his old school friend, Marizio, set sail on board a 30 foot sailing yacht. The skipper, Willem, a veteran of the African Bush War, is in his 40's, and doesn't agree with David's ideology. Faye, the only crew member is a drop dead gorgeous Israeli woman. Any man would find her irresistable but David has to focus on his mission. No one can be trusted with a fortune at stake. David has to toughen up on the journey and shoot straight if he is to survive and get home with the stones. And there is no country more deadly in Southern Africa than Mozambique where life is cheap as a bullet.
