Can the perfect recipe for love actually be put into a bottle? And what if everyone really does have one true love? Rose Valentine has a secret kept under lock and key in her specialty store called The Romance Shoppe. There, she sells flowers, cards, and chocolate - all things concerning love. A little wedding chapel is in the back, for those on-the-spur elopements, shotgun quickies, or planned extravagant weddings. Love is what Rose does, but her uptight and pessimistic niece, Susan Valentine, claims she doesn’t need a knight in shining armor to come charging into her life to trample her in the mud with his dashing white stallion. Besides, if she loses a slipper, she can always buy one pair and get a second pair half-off over at the Pickway Shoe Mart. Kissing frogs isn't Susan's bag, and no kiss will ever be deep enough to wake this Sleeping Beauty. But when Susan returns home to help her Aunt with the shop, she runs over Peyton Warwick, the mayor of Summerville. And it’s love at second sight. But before Susan can give in to love, it’s going to require a tremendous change-of-heart. And perhaps a little magic.
