On War

In “On War”, Clausewitz integrates politics and social and economic issues as some of the most important factors in deciding the outcomes of a war. It is one of the most important treatises on strategy ever written, and is prescribed at various military academies to this day. This is a 2010 revised and indexed version of the Colonel James J. Graham's translation. Notes and translations of the French words and expression used by Carl von Clausewitz have been added in it. A second key goal was to present a smooth, readable version of Car von Clausewitz’s classic work fit for today’s American readers. Sketches and schemas are original versions of the 1918 English translation published by Kegan Paul, Trench Trubner & Co. Ltd.
