Parables and Miracles of the Lord Jesus Christ with Illustrations: Compiled and Illustrated by Brigid Sturgeon

The parables and miracles offered by Jesus Christ are infinitely rich in teaching, encouragement, and inspiration. The parables, designed to 'fit' the listener according to one's readiness, can be understood on many levels. The miracles that the Lord Jesus performed attest to Who He is and to His great love for us. Most readers will find, and this is true of much of what is written in the Bible, that this is food for the soul- and our souls are very hungry, and so we want to go deeper in our understanding and comprehension. In this willingness to go deeper we grow closer to the One Who offers this food. This book compiles many of the parables and miracles from the King James Bible, to have them in one place for prayerful meditation. Many of the quotations have references to other places in the Bible, both Old and New Testament, to perhaps broaden our understanding and see connections. There are nineteen black and white illustrations done in pen and ink style. There is a complete index of all the parables and miracles so that the reader can quickly refer to each one. Brigid Sturgeon is now working on two more books: The Life of David the King, compiled and illustrated in black and white pen and ink style, and also the Book of the Psalms, which is painted in full color.
