The Price of Life

In T.M. Nienaber's debut novel a country is on the verge of an apocalypse after a politician, Kristopher, seeks out the help of a necromancer, Lucian, to make a campaign promise no one can match. As the two begin to disagree on the way the country should be run their fragile truce comes to an end and the country is launched into a civil war between zombies and the occult, and a politician's army. While this war is raging around him Lucian hears rumors about a strange compound on the edge of civilization which leads him to go on a quest to discover the truth about his partner, and Kristopher's former assassin, who was supposedly killed by Kristopher's men at the beginning of their war.
