When you can’t find happiness at home, where can you go? Beverly Hills Diary: A Journey Through The Mind Of A Boy is the story of Julian, a boy growing up in Beverly Hills in the 60s. Growing up in a dysfunctional home, Julian’s life is far from the idealized Beverly Hills perfection portrayed in the media. His only comfort comes from his three closest friends - the Beverly Hills version of a street gang - but he craves a love outside of his circle of friends. As a young child fed up with his life, Julian runs away from home to seek relief from his day-to-day anguish. While stowing away on a cargo train, young Julian befriends a drifter, but finds that this wanderer cannot offer the stability he craves. After returning home, teenage Julian is shipped off to a remote island reform school - could this be an even worse hardship than remaining at home? Will Julian ever return home to find the love he longs for? Or will he remain a vagabond, forever searching for something better?
