The Gathering of the Clan

The Erilar and Svear were two of the many clans of the Thracian people, the descendents of the original Trojans. After Troy was sacked and burned, the survivors gave up farming and became pirates who raided settlements in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea for almost fourteen hundred years. Around 90 BC, most of the clans started a slow migration across Europe. They followed the Danube River and by the time of our story they were in the heart of Europe, with enemies on all sides. The Erilar and Svear are two of the Clans that followed Odin north to Scandinavia and became the Vikings and later the Swedes.
