Description
In his novel, Thigpen explains, with eloquent detail, the cause and effect series of events leading to the fall of the most evil persona in history. He tells the story through the Archangel Gabriel. Gabriel memoirs the events pertaining to Lucifer s rise and fall in the form of a letter written to the reader. The events unfold during the evolution of the species, which Lucifer ultimately assumes authority over. Throughout the text, Thigpen resurrects some forgotten Christian traditions from the early first century. He also uses scriptural reference to validate many ideas which the scientific community supports. Although this book finds middle ground between Christianity and Science, it is expected to be highly controversial because there are some major tenants of mainstream Christianity which Thigpen denounces. Also, there are some ideas suggested for which no scientific evidence can be found; most notably the Theory of Spiritually Inspired Evolution of the Species. Thigpen s ideas are a unique entanglement of Christianity and Science. Further, his artistic construct has blended scriptural poetry and academic analysis into a fictional account - which pertains to a topic that is almost never written about.
