About Book In August 2007, I was celebrating my 20th year in USA and contemplating on how extraordinary my journey had been. I arrived in USA with $300 and by 2007 my net worth was more than a million dollar. However fantastic my journey appeared to me, deep down in my heart I knew that there was nothing extraordinary about it. Almost all my close friends who started a similar journey are multi-millionaires. The reason I am writing this book is because I know that the art of accumulating wealth is very simple and there is a story to be shared. What comes natural to me and however simple and common sense it appears, it is largely a result of the fact that I grew up in India. I am sure there are families in USA and other developed nations that share similar experience but they are an exception rather than a norm. I simply wish to share the first steps towards financial freedom that started in my childhood. You see, becoming a millionaire is so surprisingly simple, and there are numerous books and seminars already devoted to it that it is almost a cliché to write about it. What is different and compelling about this book is the fact that when one extends ones playing field boundaries beyond national borders, the game gets exciting, and exposes one to newer opportunities. There are pieces of information in this book that you can apply to yourself immediately or find it relevant for someone that you care for. About Author Rakesh Gopal is a professional working in the IT sector for last 20 years in USA. He has B.S. in Electrical Engineering from BITS Pilani, India, and M.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and M.B.A from George Washington University. Rakesh enjoys reading and traveling and lives in Washington D.C. Metro area with his wife Anu Gopal, sons Gaurav & Tejas Gopal, and a lovely Papillion Lucky.
