The Almost Christian Discovered: Or the False Professor Tried and Cast
Description
The Almost Christian Discovered is drawn from seven sermons Matthew Mead preached at St. Sepulchre's, London, in 1661. His theme was that many in the world who profess the Christian faith are almost, but only almost, true Christians. They are not fully Christian. He demonstrates the ways in which they miss the mark and shows what we can learn from their errors. "Labor to be altogether Christians," he urges the reader, "to go farther than they who have gone farthest and yet fall short!"
