Wixon's Day

A desolate world, laid to waste with no records to explain how. Clouds hang over the nation of Estalia, where a lone boatman makes his way across this freezing landscape. Marquos drifts without meaning, through a dystopian empire, searching for hope of a better future. In the Deadland of the North, they say the sky is clear, and the stars shine: he dreams of seeing it. Dreams that there is some escape.

There's nothing simple about his voyage, though. Rebels plague the canals, hunted by the authoritarian Border Guard, putting Marquos at risk: hounded by the guards of the Metropolis, he harbours a kidnapped child he means to return to her parents. Between the despotic militants, who rule without true governance, and the ragged bands of fighters who resist them, Marquos will be drawn into a war that the greater populace is ignorant of. His journey will take him not just into the inhospitable North, but into the darkest secrets of his people and their world. Secrets as foggy as the world around him.

This post-apocalyptic adventure ambles alongside its apathetic protagonist, through an eerily devastated world with a little understood past. His slow, meandering journey, is gradually dropped into a chaotic fight for survival.
