OUT OF RUSSIA: A Personal Odyssey: A story of friendship, loyalty and trust in the face of being isolated in the world of former communists.

The diary of an American living alone in the Russian City of Toyletti, struggling with language and cultural barriers, while working at the GM Avotovaz Joint Venture Automotive Plant during 2004. It also reflects upon the strong relationship that was nutured between the American and an English speaking man, from the former Yugoslavia, and his Ukrainian wife who helped him deal with the both the language differences and the cultural challenges that he faced on a daily basis.
