Small, silent dogs cherished by the Japanese Emperor, the Japanese Chin is now a rare breed. The Emperor had these lapdogs guarded and they were fed the finest rice and meat. Commodore Perry brought these little dogs into America around 1864, where they again were owned by the rich and high in society, Through a strange reversal of Fate, these innocent little dogs are now in rescue . . . looking for homes.
