The Komodo Conspiracy: A Sam and Roxanne Mystery

Samantha dangles helplessly above the clearing. The loop in the rope pinches her foot so tight she cant’ kick loose, nor are her skinny arms strong enough to haul herself back up to the platform. Back to safety. She can’t see the Komodo deep in the blackness of the carriage house, but she can hear it chomp and slurp its way through the bloody, odiferous bait. Her foot is numb. How much longer can she hang here? More importantly, how much longer before the Komodo notices her? Samantha knows she should be grateful to her crazy aunt for giving her a place to live. Aunt Olivia might be ancient and possibly demented, but she understands the importance of family and still cares what the neighbors think.
