Jake is an all around gun for hire and get me out of the fire kind of guy. Alfio hires Jake to achieve his goal - to re-enter the US as someone else, free of continued Justice Department harassment. The Caribbean setting includes action in The Cayman Islands, Aruba, and Panama as well as London and Paris with a plot that includes insider trading in New York.
