Description
For those who would really want to understand truth, they must fully grasp the significanc of relationship which is life and action. If such relationship is based on an idea,it is not a holistic action at all and it is not possible to comprehend the relationship in totality because idea circumscribes the relationship and so then the relationship is based on sensation and so separation and so without love.Unfortunately all our relationships are based on ego which is the quintessence of sensation with separate feeling and so without love. Most of us don't hear the continuous knocking of ego with a quiet mind. Our listening to it is premediated, calculated, always interpreting, judging, comparing with what you know. Such listening is no listening at all.If you listen to ego with a mind that is free of ideas, dogma, belief with just passive awareness then there is the total comprehension of the ego and the way it functions, and in that comprehension you go beyond the ego and enter into timeless dimension and such a mind discovers the ultimate reality.Once you touch the reality your mind is radically changed, undergoes a fundamental revolution which is the only revoution and such a mind is in constant mutation and creativity. So let us listen to the ego with a quiet mind with passive awareness by doing self and taste the reality and undergo radical change in the way of our thinking and so the way we relate to the other and the way we act. This is the Quintessence of self-inquiry. Pseudo-I is a fact while functioning in the phenomenal reality. We are conditioned to function as Pseudo-I only, but meditation happens only when we go beyond the Pseudo-I which is imposed on us by the family and society. Being aware of activities of Pseudo-I without fighting with it is part of self-inquiry.(sada apramada). That very awareness takes us to the source of Pseudo-I, so self-inquiry is not "doingâ€. It is just being aware of the activities of Pseudo-I, so the whole of pseudo-I is under observation, so there is no division, no duality in self-inquiry unlike in other methods in which Pseudo-I is kept intact for doing spiritual discipline, so there is duality and conflict in them unlike in self-inquiry. The inquirer get dissolved in self-inquiry, so this is a non-dual process. The dirtiness of Pseudo-I is purified when it gets dissolved in the sea of awareness. Purity is not a prerequisite for doing self-inquiry but it is a consequence of self-inquiry. Mind is a problem to everybody which thought cannot resolve because ego itself is woven by thought. We have to observe the pseudo-I without the screen of past, of conditioning, then only the whole structure of prevailing thought-process is revealed and comes to an end. One attains to healthy way of thinking when one understands his own immature, pathological perverted thinking but not by fighting, repressing with that immature way of thinking that is presided over by the ego. Then only we encounter the reality which exists by itself and reveals itself by its very presence.
