Captain Mark Alexander of the star ship Serenity is hired to transport an exploration team to a newly discovered planet; a job he imagines will be both lucrative and routine. But tragedy awaits on the beautiful planet. Events test the sanity and resolve of the exploration team and the crew of the Serenity, but also offer incredible rewards for them and the future of the Human species.
