Folk-Tale Transformations

This book began as an educational project in which students studied the origins and development of the folk-tale and were encouraged to write their own folk-tale transformations. Many of the resulting stories were so good that it was decided to offer them for publication. The stories have gone through a rigorous editorial process including structural editing, copy-editing and proof-reading by teachers and an editorial team comprised of the best writers in each class. The result is a product in which all the stories are good, and the best are outstanding. They are well worth reading in their own right, and may be of interest to teachers and fellow-students as models of folk-tale writing.
