FM 5-428 Concrete and Masonry

This is the premier manual for learning how to do basic through advanced work with concrete and cement. Excellent for beginners through advanced users. Field Manual 5-428 is primarily a training guide and reference text for engineer personnel using concrete and masonry materials in field construction. The manual has two parts: Concrete (Part 1) and Masonry (Part 2). Part 1 (Concrete) Covers the physical characteristics, properties, and ingredients of concrete: mixtures, design, and construction of forms; and with reinforced concrete and field construction procedures. Part 2 (Masonry) Addresses the mason's tools and equipment as well as the physical characteristics and properties of concrete blocks, bricks, and structural clay tiles. It further explains construction procedures and methods for these masonry units. Appendix A contains an English to metric measurement conversion chart.
