The mediocrity of just another day in Black Rock shatters with an early morning rumble. Hearts begin a tempestuous plunge into individual black holes of fear. A symphony of voices in spontaneous prayer follow with requests for protection and salvation for those they love. Joyce Pennington instantly knows lives hang in the balance, and at the end of this event Black Rock will not be the same.
