My daughter Laura and I had a wonderful grandmother. In fact, Edna Paulus was the kind of grandma everyone should have. Not only did she raise four daughters during the depression, she created a warm cozy home, had a full time career and squeezed enough time out of every day to become one in Chicago. We'd think we were just a little prejudiced if people where she worked at the University of Chicago, didn't start sweet talking her in July, to make sure that they got a tin of her sought-after Christmas cookies. Or the fact that Marshall Field’s once asked Grandma to quit her day job and bake for them. Or shall we say begged? But we'll leave that decision up to you.
