Hardworking Jackie is unhappily married to Carmelo. When a friend of Carmelo's, Summer, comes to live with them, Jackie is furious and judgmental toward her due to Summer's profession as an exotic dancer. Little do either of these ladies know, that life will never be the same after this experience as feelings begin to erupt, hearts break, and secrets are revealed. Told in two parts, Part I explores the exploitation of Summer's industry, the unhappiness and inevitable entrapment Jackie finds herself in, the emotional imprisonment of life for both these women, and the blossoming of unlikely friendships. Part II, on the other hand, takes us into the world of female sexuality, attraction, self-discovery, and the predestined fate of falling in love.
