The year is 2080 I.C., and most of mankind has evolved into Utopians, or Homo Sapiens Amplio. Living in vast underground complexes, Kariannlyn Sumirp was a vibrant young woman who was directly integrated to the Com5=One with her standard cybernetic implants and nanotechnology agents. But life was tiresome and boring to Kariannlyn - she wanted adventure. Tommy Tew lived in a floating enclave above ground as a Dystopian, or Homo Sapiens Sapiens. He may not have benefited from technology to make him into a nearly indestructible cyborg like the Utopians, but he did have something that they surely lacked - he had freedom. His goal in life was to graduate from school with distinction, join the Freedom Fighter resistance movement, and make a difference in their unending battle with the cyborgs. Kariannlyn and Tommy's wish is about to come true. Thrust together in an epic battle, they forge a bond to overcome biases and engage the true enemy in a war that pits high tech versus low tech, logic versus emotion, and enslavement versus freedom.
