This book was not written for dummies. It was written and designed, for people who prefer not to read thirty years of history about computers, along with excessive technical details that are not necessary for learning only the basics. The lessons in this book are short, and provide clear pictures. They are written in large print, and important points are highlighted. There is a lot of "white space" on the pages, to prevent overwhelming for some people. This tutorial provides simple instruction, but not so simple that it is insulting to your intelligence. You are taught what you need to know, when you need to know it.
