Before Wigan ever dreamed of snatching the FA Cup from mighty Manchester city, William Hebden created this tale of the struggling underdog. A handful ordinary Yorkshire folk find themselves guarding a precious secret against the forces of power and wealth. The sudden success of their football team doesn’t help.
