Cyber-Hate: One Act Play

Rachel and Josh have dated awhile now but Josh’s interest has turned to another girl, Cathy. As Rachel feels Josh’s attention lessening, she begins a systematic bullying of Cathy on line. When Josh break up with her she becomes more unbalanced and violent. Over one half of all adolescents and teens have been bullied online, and about the same number have engaged in cyber bullying. More than 1 in 3 young people have experienced cyber threats online and half of young people do not tell their parents when cyber bullying occurs. Over 25 percent of adolescents and teens have been bullied repeatedly through their cell phones or the Internet. In extreme cases this has led to assault and/or suicide.
