Down by my Vineyard: A misguided meta-memoir of meteorites, merlot, mourning, movies, mobsters, merchant marine, amusement parks, AM Radio (and other ... marginally mismanaged brain?say what (mind?)

A multi-faceted collection of personal reminiscences of the author's time spent in the Merchant Marine, Cornell and Brooklyn along with essays exhaled on various unrelated topics after hyperventilating the Zeit Geist and mainlining the pop culture,--- Chaco Canyon, the Tunguska meteorite event, Burning Man, Brigantes, Guillaume DuFay, Ho Chi Minh, Steeplechase, Gnomon Copy, Stalin's secret love affair with Lyubov Orlova, the Zulu beverage Skokiaan, Yukio Mishima and the Brooklyn mob, etc. interspersed with instructions on how not to start a vineyard. The final section is a cinematic novella set in a semi-fictional post-WWII, revolving around the interrelated creations of 'Topo Gigio, the Mexican Mouse', the films 'Fiesta!' and 'Night of the Iguana' but mostly concerning the aftereffects of Sergeii Eisenstein's meeting with Freud in Vienna and Walt Disney along with Tennessee Williams urinating into an imaginary urinal in the Sierra Madre Occidental.
