A Song of Syncopation: Volume 4 of Maconiana, 1964-1984

Once upon a time, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, there was a wonderful college made just for women. For 113 years, from 1893 to 2006, it nurtured generations of students. It was called Randolph-Macon Woman's College. Chapter by chapter, at five years apiece, this is the story of how those students lived, what they did, what they thought, and, especially, how they had fun. Volume 4, 1964-1984, covers the origin and development of Ring Week, the end of many earlier traditions, and the students' participation in the Civil Rights Movement.
