Plan of Salvation LOGIC: A Latter-day Saint perspective on modern-day issues and life's perplexing problems

It is common, in life, to wonder why things are the way they are. Why do good people suffer? Why did that boy have to die so young? Why didn’t I get that job? Why do we get married if it’s likely to end in divorce? The list of questions about problems in life is endless. There is also the dilemma of answering questions about Latter-day Saints beliefs on modern day issues such as: abortion, same-sex marriage, the complex role of womanhood and manhood, and even the purpose of Latter-day Saint Temples. Often, as Mormons, even explaining the Word of Wisdom or our firm stance on eternal families can be difficult. But it doesn’t have to be. The plan of salvation answers six very important and basic questions: “Who am I?”, “Where did I come from?”, “Why am I here on earth?”, “What should I be doing while I’m here?”, “What happens when I die?” and “What is my eternal destination?” From the answers to these questions, we find the purpose of life and the answers and explanations to modern-day issues and the trials of life. The answers and logic are there—in the plan—if we will take the time to understand it.
