Returning form a long haul trip to Spain, Declan the truck driver finds a mobile phone in the gutter. Being a good hearted person, he sets about trying to find the owner. But the only way to do so is to read the unopened messages – and some of them are not very nice… Before long he’s up to his neck in other people’s lives – with Di and her estranged grandson Stevie, Di’s curiously abbreviated friends who are relying on her to organise their trip to Machu Picchu, not to mention joyous Joy who gets the better of him in bed. Meanwhile, Rachel his wife wants a divorce, and he doesn’t, and while he rescues one boy, his own son goes missing.
