Celestial Navigation (Upon Oceans Endorsement) (Volume 6)

Revised February 22, 2016. We have reviewed the publication and corrected errors, typos and added questions to reflect changes in the USCG data base. Additionally, I have added three new chapters of advanced subjects for Chief Mate: Sights Taken Near Geographic Position, Ex – Meridian and Unknown Star. This volume is a comprehensive work on Celestial Navigation, its theory and practice and is designed for Master through 2nd Mate Unlimited. It uses actual USCG exam questions as it teaches the celestial calculations in easy to understand steps; with additional USCG questions at the end of each chapter, when appropriate.
