Doug Reeves is a retired Apache helicopter pilot living aboard his power yacht in the marina at Monterey, California. His life is tranquil until the yacht next to his explodes, leaving him with new scars. A tenacious man, Reeves can't stop asking why, and the search for answers risks his relationship with Donni Brakken and leads him back to places he thought he'd left behind.
