This is an amusing true tale about the early days of computer control systems, based on the actual experiences and life story of an ordinary engineer. The book consists of technical descriptions of the systems of that era, intertwined around a memoir describing the engineering and business environment. It gives some idea of the fun and excitement involved in systems engineering, and will interest new and aspiring engineers. It may even have some reminiscences for older engineers. As a bonus this book includes descriptions of various international military,industrial and aeronautical computer based businesses together with their associated commercial practices. The individual chapters can be read separately as they are reasonably independent.
