To everyone else, Julia Wyatt has everything. She has a job she loves, a great family and an amazing boyfriend who is loved by everyone. Craig Johnson is gorgeous, smart, and well spoken. Craig’s also an abuser. After nearly four years and multiple trips to the Emergency Room, Julia finally musters up enough courage to leave. Julia loses everything when she leaves Craig. She loses her best friend, her job, her home and her parent’s respect after they learn of the abuse she endured at Craig’s hands. Why would you stay with someone who abuses you? Julia doubts she will ever have the answer to that question, despite how many times it’s asked. Julia flees to her sister’s house in Renaissance, hoping for the new beginning she needs. Just when she thinks she can move past the abuse and put Craig behind her forever, she discovers that she is carrying Craig’s child.
