The Great Recession caused hardship for many. Some couples were split, having to live and work apart from each other just to make ends meet. After the economic downturn forced him to close his independent coffee shop, J.D. Duan had to find a new career in a poor economy. He went to school to get a CDL and started trucking. Recounting road trip experiences as a semi-truck driver from 2009 to 2011, J.D.
