Journal of Janet Tallulah: Volume 1 (1969-71) ((1969-1971))

Janet yearns for change during her early years in Los Angeles after she arrives from Georgia to pursue her PhD in Theater History at UCLA. While waiting to establish residency, she searches for ways to break into film and television. She is married to an attorney and has three children. This Journal is a transcription of her writings during those early years. She explores different ways to purge the old and welcome the new while remaining a traditional wife and mother. Not an easy thing to do. This book is a literal transcription of Janet's stream of consciousness (without edits) from those early years in Los Angeles. It is an interior monologue, including what she wants to do, is obsessed to do, and thinks she ought to do. No attempt has been made to change or edit what she thought or wrote 45 years or so ago.
