Discidium

Discidium is a land divided by blood. The X Sector holds the upper-class citizens, those who are part of the X bloodline. Y-blooded people live in the Y Sector and make up the middle class of the land. The XY Sector holds those who have XY blood, which is seen as unclean by the ruler, High Father Arius. Althea discovers she is the last of the Ancients, the ones who created the land of Discidium after the apocalypse destroyed the earth. Althea's husband is the banished and supposedly-dead son of the High Father, who is trying to rid the land of the people of the XY Sector. The two join the rebel army formed to take down the corrupt ruler. Things also take a twist when the spirit of the Ancients take the form of her mother and tell Althea she has to save the XY people from the High Father's extermination teams. Althea not only has to fight through battles with the rebel army, but also battles among the ones she holds dearest. Lies, betrayal, and Althea's worst nightmare playing out in her life make her job harder than she ever imagined.
