We have since transformed from amalgam restorations and gold crowns as the emperors of the realm. We now use ormocers and CAD/CAM products as the cost-effective, clinically acceptable, patient-satisfying, yet, tooth-colored synthetic replacements for the kingpins in about half a century. This degree of rapid transformation caused a significant population of dentists enough confusion that can be described as tumultuous.
