A Modest Proposal

In early 1700's Ireland, poverty was a problem. Families starved, unable to afford even the most basic of necessities. Disease and depression were rampant. It seemed all hope was lost. Fortunately, Jonathan Swift has a solution. In this contemplative essay, Swift has pin-pointed a method of solving all the problems facing Ireland's poor and may very well be the solution to the problems faced by our own impoverished families.; by utilizing the one asset the great unwashed have in abundance: their children.
