A virus known as the EXOS virus spreads Aqua's home. The virus attacks peoples DNA, changing them from human to robot. However, once infected the people become apart of the EXOS. The EXOS harm and attack uninfected people, so Aqua and his friends make it their duty to protect the helpless form the EXOS in a large rundown abandoned city. They call themselves CURE, the cure for their home. As they fight the EXOS they learn of their own mysterious past and hidden secrets of their home and the EXOS.
